God's Victorious Family, Part 6
Pastor Cedrick looks at chapter four of Ephesians to challenge us to transform our lives by putting off our old nature and embracing our new identity in Christ. The key scripture, Ephesians 4:22-24, reminds us to be renewed in the spirit of our minds. We rejoice in God's unconventional method of calling us who we are before we become it, just as He called Abraham a father of nations before he had children. This teaches us to agree with God and speak faith over our lives, even when our current circumstances don't align. Secondly, the message emphasizes the importance of forgiveness, unity, and maintaining a spirit of faith rather than fear. We're encouraged to see trials as opportunities for spiritual growth, understanding that God uses these experiences of our fallen world to reveal our true character and cultivate maturity by shifting our focus to include not only external sins, where we tend to struggle, but also to examine internal and possibly deeper issues that we often overlook, such as fear, doubt, and unbelief. Submitting all these struggles to God will empower us to experience true transformation and live as victorious children of God.
